Verizon has partnered
with Technology Works for Good to offer free scholarships
to attend technology training classes from the Confluence
Corporation. Non Profits whose mission is literacy,
workforce and community technology may submit requests
for permanent staff for three staff per application
and up to three applications per year. Applications
are processed at the Verizon Foundation website.

CyberLearning and the National Education Foundation,
invite Non Profits, Government Agencies, Colleges
& Universities, and K-12 Schools & School
Districts to partake of a 10%-100% matching grant
to cover the cost of CyberLearning’s already
economical array of online technical training courses.
The grants can be applied toward any of CyberLearning's
online courses in Information Technology, Management
and TestPrep. CyberLearning offers 300+ Personal
Computing (PC) online courses through the Internet
in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Chinese
and Japanese -- The applicants pay only a small
registration fee for unlimited access to 300+ Personal
Computing (PC) courses. The courses are both self-study
and instructor-led, and deal with Microsoft Software,
plus Web Design, Lotus Notes, Internet, E-mail,
E-commerce, Palm, databases etc. CyberLearning offers
an Information Technology (IT) package consisting
of 650+ self-study and instructor-led courses, including
the above and 350+ Certification courses in Microsoft,
Cisco, Oracle, Novell, Web Master, A+, Network+
etc. The registrants receive free unlimited access
to all the courses, a 24x7 online library, 24x7
tech support, 24x7 skill tests, 24x7 Benchmark certification
tests, chat areas and evaluations. This is an exceptional
program for bridging the Digital Divide and a great
way for anyone to upgrade IT skills and learn new
skills. NEF Cyberlearning is a Ford Foundation Leadership
Award Nominee.
