ThinkQuest USA, sponsored by the Oracle Help Us Help Foundation, is offered to teachers and students interested in participating in a program to build educational websites. It is a classroom based online collaborative student centered program.  Applications for the TRIO ThinkQuest 2003 Internet Challenge may be submitted via the TRIO ThinkQuest Web site between Monday, March 10, 2003 and the application deadline of Tuesday, July 22, 2003. The teachers and students form teams around the project of their choosing and the result is an educational website. The team, in the course of participating in this program will explore and add to growing sources of educational information on the Internet for kids by kids. ThinkQuest USA teaches technology, research and collaboration skills. Teachers are invited to apply. Prizes for winners in each website division include computer notebook computers, t-shirts and other prizes offered by the Oracle Help Us Help Foundation.

The Dollar General Back-to-School grant program will award four $5,000 grants to assist schools in meeting some of the financial challenges they face in implementing new programs or purchasing new equipment, materials or software for their school library or literacy program. and submit it along with a letter stating why your school deserves a $5,000 Back-to-School grant from Dollar General for your school's library or literacy related program on or before August 15, 2003. Grants will be announced by September 12, 2003.

Grant recipients will be awarded a customized version of Docutek’s web-basd school information sharing system, Docutek atSchool, for two years. Remote Web hosting of the system is included, training and access to a users group of current and past grant recipients and teachers and technology specialists at all the schools using the system.
