The Adobe Action Grant program provides one-time cash-only grants for general operating and program support through a competitive, quarterly online application process. Grant amounts range from $5,000-$20,000 and are for one year only. Grants are awarded for Creativity in Education for schools, and commu nity-based organizations with programs that enable and inspire K-12 students to think creatively, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively, using digital technology.

The Institute of Museum and Library Services, in conjunction with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, has released guidelines for the Partnership for a Nation of Learners (PNL) Community Collaboration Grants, which are designed to support new and existing lifelong learning collaborations between museums, libraries, and public broadcasters. Collaborations between a public broadcasting licensee (radio or television) and a museum or library are eligible. Projects that involve all three types of organizations will generally be considered more competitive for funding. Grant amounts will range from $25,000 to $250,000. Applicants must be a unit of state or local government or a private nonprofit organization.

The initiative is designed to help make nonprofits more efficient and better able to serve their communities. Areas of interest include education, public health, and youth advocacy. Nonprofits in the United States as well as Canada are eligible to apply. The application is available online.

Staples Foundation for Learning offers funding to programs that support or provide job skills and/or education for all people, with a special emphasis on disadvantaged youth. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations. The requested amount of each grant can be up to $25,000. Most grants awarded by the Foundation are in the $5,000-$25,000 range. Verizon Foundation gives nonprofits an eGrant toward Internet access from a vendor of your choice. Although the program targets smaller nonprofits (those with annual budgets under $500,000), any 501(c)(3) organization may apply. Nonprofits that currently have Internet access are ineligible. Grants are $240 for each eGrant. |
