an amount equal to 1% of REDcard(SM) (Target
Visa and Target Card) purchases made at Target
and Target.com, and 1/2% of Target Visa purchases
made elsewhere, to the eligible K-12 school
of your choice. For some schools, that's over
$10,000 a year.
Classroom Wish List
Teachers can create a Wish List online at
the Target website. Parents and community
businesses can buy products or
contribute to items on the wish lists.
All-Around Scholarships
The Target All-Around Scholarship Program
awards over six hundred $1,000 All-Around
Scholarships each year, including one $25,000
scholarship, to high school seniors and college
students age 24 or younger. They recognize
volunteer work as well as academic achievement.
Start Something
Target Corporation awards up to a total of
$300,000 each year in Start Something scholarships.
Applications are screened and scholarships
are awarded three times a year in May, September
and January. Start Something is a dream-building
program curriculum that will get your students
thinking about who they are and what they
can do in your life. It's inspired by the
book "Start Something," written
by Tiger and Earl Woods. After students complete
the program, they can apply for a Start Something
grant of up to $5000. They can use this money
to help keep following their dreams, whatever
they might be-learning to rock-climb, taking
drum classes, or becoming a veterinarian.
Start Something scholarships are available
to young people ages 8 to 17 living in the
U.S. (the 50 states or D.C.).
